About us
Dietrich Müller-Link
From 1995 until September 2017, when I retired, I was the Director Project Development Oil and Gas with ITT Bornemann GmbH, a turn-key solution provider for Multiphase Pumps.
I am a degreed Mechanical Engineer from the Technical University of Clausthal in Germany with more than 30 years of oilfield experience in different disciplines and assignments. At ITT Bornemann, I was responsible for application consultancy, project development as well as seminars and customer training. I authored several technical papers on multiphase boosting technology.
In order to discuss potential applications, I visited numerous countries around the globe on all continents. I visited many international oil companies, a large number of state oil companies and smaller ones. I was invited to a number of SPE Chapters, and gave seminars and presentations to a large number of engineering companies, in order to enable them to judge a potential application. I always kept a good relation to universities, where I held lectures and supervised diploma or master thesis’s dealing with my field of expertise. The discourse with prospective engineers highly enriches my daily work.
I was the lead for the first twin-screw Multiphase Pump systems in the UAE and Saudi Arabia ever, and started the implementation of the vapour recovery units (VRU – Multiphase Pumps) for the heavy oil, cyclic steam stimulations in Northern Alberta (Canada).
I further provided technical input to Multiphase Pump projects in Algeria, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia, Sudan, Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, USA, Venezuela, and other countries. This included numerous field visits, on- and offshore.
